Caitlin's Persuasive Writing

Cell phones should be allowed at school. I think cell phones shouldn't be allowed at school. There are 3 reasons why I think this. They are ,someone could text their parents / fake being sick, rude ringtones, and interruptions in class.

1. I am against cell phones being at school because someone could text their parents and ask to come home. Some reasons are - they could say school is finishing early or they don't want to sit a test. By this happening you wouldn't be able to learn what you should know. Your teachers would have no idea where you were and your parents would be very mad if they had to leave work and come and pick you up when you were faking. So I hope you agree with me.

2. Another one of my reasons is rude ringtones. If you have a phone your ringtone might have bad language in it. This might teach children to swear and other children might hear it too. If you try to hide it you could probably still be able to hear it. Imagine if your teacher heard it ?

3. Imagine you were in class and a cell phone went off. If it was yours you would have to answer it. Everyone would get distracted and wouldn't get their work done. They could also hear you talking to your friend (embarrassing).

This is why I think it is a bad idea to have cell phone at school. I hope you agree with my opinion. I am sure there are many other reasons why cell phones shouldn't be allowed at school. Don't let this happen to you.
